What is Pediatric Dentistry?
Pediatric dentistry involves treatment and preventative care specific to children. Our goal is to provide your child with professional, comfortable and friendly dental care that they can count on time and time again. We work with toddlers, children and teens alike, so we’re a full service office for each member of your family. By getting your children in the habit of visiting the dentist, they will develop healthy habits and be less afraid of the office.
Why is Pediatric Dentistry needed?
Pediatric dentistry is needed by all children to keep their teeth and gums healthy. We offer a variety of preventative and corrective treatments that are geared specifically to kids. Some different options we offer include:
• Fluoride Treatments
• Dental Cleanings
• Conscious Sedation
I Took my 21 month here for his first check up and I have nothing negative to say. From the helpfulness of the nice woman at the front desk with getting paperwork in place, to the phenomenal dentist and all the assistants. It made for a wonderful experience for both my son and I. We look forward to coming back for his next check up. We will definitely be recommending this office to all of my friends with kids!
What makes your child a good candidate for Pediatric Dentistry?
All children should see the dentist twice a year as part of their ongoing dental care. By avoiding trips to the dentist, small problems are able to get worse and may require more invasive treatment. What’s more, a child who isn’t used to going to the dentist may find it difficult or scary to finally get into the office. Our goal is to offer continuing care to your children in a relaxed, warm and inviting environment.
What can be expected during your child’s Pediatric Dental appointment?
For a routine dental checkup, your child will be greeted by one of our friendly staff members and seated comfortably in one of our rooms. A licensed hygienist will perform a cleaning and check the health of your child’s gums. The teeth are polished and flossed to remove any remaining debris and plaque. Next, Dr. Ong will come in and examine your child’s teeth. At every stage of the appointment, we use kid-friendly terminology and are kind and caring towards you and your child. We can then offer treatment options as well as hygiene recommendations to improve the health of your child’s smile.
If you are interested in scheduling a pediatric appointment for your child, call us today and we will work to get them in for an appointment when it’s most convenient for you.
